OREF Expert Review

OREF’s involvement in the MOTIV™ pilot reflects its mission to advance musculoskeletal research by strengthening the clinical evidence ecosystem and supporting future investigator-led research. 

Specifically, OREF served as an independent convener of orthopedic experts, providing expert review of this TKA Observational Protocol and approving the protocol and associated process to move forward within the MOTIV™ pilot.

This evaluation focused on clinical relevance, feasibility for real-world data collection, and appropriateness of protocol structure. 

Expert review refers to a structured clinical evaluation conducted by practicing orthopedic surgeons with subject matter expertise in the clinical area being studied in the observational protocol. This review is distinct from OREF’s formal peer-review processes used for grant funding and traditional research studies.
