Principal Investigator:

Dr. Benjamin Sibley

D.P.M., Queensland University of Technology

Dr. Sibley specializes in musculoskeletal disorders affecting the lower limb, with expertise in using regenerative medicine and PRP to manage chronic pain and alleviate arthritis discomfort.  As a distinguished member of the Interventional Orthobiologics Foundation in the USA, American Board of Regenerative Medicine, and American Society of Regenerative Medicine, Dr. Sibley is committed to ongoing education in the realms of Regenerative Medicine, PRP, Prolotherapy, and Interventional Musculoskeletal Ultrasound.

Study Abstract:

This Circle unites physiatrists from around the world in the evidence-based standardization of effectiveness and safety of PRP injections for lower extremity pathologies.  Over an 18-month period, this Circle captures patient-reported data related to lower extremity pain, function, and stiffness prior to and following a one-time treatment of PRP.

Study Type:

Interventional

Circle Benefits:
  • Longitudinal, real-world safety and efficacy assessment of PRP.
  • Collaboration with prominent musculoskeletal podiatrists and physicians.
  • Clinically significant registry datasets supporting standards of care for a variety of lower extremity pathologies.
  • Aggregate, analyze and benchmark de-identified patient data, helping to derive clinical evidence to inform their clinical decision-making.
Real-World Data Surveys:
  • Visual Analogue Scale (VAS)
  • Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Arthritis Index (WOMAC)

THIS CIRCLE IS FOR:

Provider Receiving CMS Reimbursement For TKAs

CMS will soon penalize providers performing total knee replacements which do not collect specified outcomes data from at least 50% of qualifying patients.

Other Providers Performing TKAs

Private insurance companies and other payers within and outside the U.S. will follow the CMS lead in requiring high patient compliance in reporting long-term TKA outcomes.
